The Sheraton Maui's Tahitian Luau is unique among Maui luaus for one very special reason — the legendary Black Rock cliff diving ceremony. Before the show begins, watch as a torch-lit diver leaps from the famous Pu'u Keka'a (Black Rock) into the ocean below, a nightly tradition that honors the Hawaiian belief that this sacred spot is where spirits leap into the afterlife. It's a moment that sets this luau apart from all others on the island.
Like all great Hawaiian luaus, the evening takes you through the early history of Hawaii through storytelling, singing, dancing and chanting — giving visitors a deeper understanding of the history and cultural values that make Hawaii what it is today. Fire dancing is traditionally saved for last, closing out the night in spectacular fashion.
